Itinerary

Drive to the trailhead
About 30 minutes by car from Drake Bay to the edge of the primary forest.

Rainforest hike (~1 hour)
Up through primary forest to a hidden waterfall deep in the trees.

Waterfall swim and snack
Cool off in the pool under the falls. Fruit and snacks before moving on.

Float the river
Hop into a life vest and drift downstream. Watch for monkeys, basilisk lizards, and tropical birds along the way.

Finish at the beach
A 45-minute walk from the river exit to a nearby beach for lunch.

Car back to town
End of the tour.

Note on difficulty. This is not an easy tour — the hike in primary forest can get slippery in rainy season. Tennis shoes or closed light shoes are essential.
