Itinerary

  1. 7:15 AM

    Departure

    Boat leaves Drake Bay for about an hour's ride to Caño Island.

  2. 8:15 AM

    Snorkel session 1

    45 minutes to an hour at the first of two reef sites.

  3. 9:30 AM

    Snorkel session 2

    Second site with different reef structures and species.

  4. 10:30 AM

    Beach break on the island

    About 30 minutes to rest, dry off, and take in the shoreline.

  5. 11:30 AM

    San Josecito Beach

    30–40 minutes at one of the Osa's prettier beaches.

  6. 1:30 PM

    Lunch + return

    Tour concludes with lunch before the boat back.

The water at Caño is some of the clearest on the Pacific side of Costa Rica — this is the go-to if you came for reefs, not just rainforest.
